Book Review: Bone Gap

BONE GAP is positively sensational. It was one of my first forays into YA magical realism, and I was not disappointed. I set it down and immediately wanted to tell someone – anyone – about it.

Two important things to mention:

(1) This book made me feel cripplingly insecure about my own writing, because it is just that beautiful.

(2) I now harbor a love/hate relationship with corn.

At one point I started writing down every beautiful sentence; I filled an entire page and was only a few pages into the book, so I abandoned the pursuit.

Just, read it. READ IT.
