Things I’m Loving in August

Reading: I’m halfway through Trouble is a Friend of Mine, Stephanie Tromly’s YA mystery debut, and it is super witty. I’m loving the banter and the pacing… and Digby. Oh, I do love me some Digby.

I also read Tanaz Bhathena’s What We Left Behind (previously title Qala Academy) at the beginning of the month, and it completely broke my heart. Look out for this gorgeous #ownvoices novel in 2018.

Next up for me is Sonia Belasco’s Speak of Me as I Am.

Watching: I’ve recently started re-watching Friday Night Lights, because one of the characters (who shall remain nameless, *cough, cough*) is sort of inspiring a character in my second novel.

I’m also digging old-school Charmed at the moment.

Working on: Draft 1.5 of my second novel, where I make it pretty! And sensical!

Listening to: Open Season by High Highs and the soundtrack from the movie The Way, Way Back.

Obsessing over: Checking my emails for news about my UK visa. And also my wedding photos, which couldn’t make me any happier.
