Book Review: The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett

I received an ARC through Netgalley.

This book is just as hilarious as it is heartbreaking. I mean, I’m like this:

And then I’m like this:

It think that’s what’s best about The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett – how it makes the reader feel so many things concurrently.

Hawthorn is just so, so real, and I loved that. My heart kind of ached for her. Above all, this is a book about outsiders, and Hawthorn has the perfect voice to tell it.

And burritos! I love burritos! (This isn’t as random as it seems if you’ve read the book.)

I’m anxiously awaiting what Chelsea writes next, and I’d recommend that readers of contemporary YA and mystery check this one out.
